Root Beer Float Filling

- ½ cup milk (whole milk recommended)
- 1 package (3.4 oz / 96 g) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Cool Whip or whipped topping, thawed
Topping
- 1½–2 cups Cool Whip or whipped topping
- Maraschino cherries (optional)

Directions
1 Prepare the Crust (If Homemade)
- In a medium bowl, combine crushed cookies and melted butter.
- Mix until evenly moistened.
- Press firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
- Freeze for 10–15 minutes to set.
(Skip this step if using a store-bought crust.)
2 Make the Root Beer Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the root beer and milk.
- Sprinkle in the instant vanilla pudding mix.
