- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheddar–mozzarella blend)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish or sheet pan with nonstick spray or butter.
Step 2: Prepare the Potatoes
Place the diced potatoes in a large bowl.
Drizzle with olive oil and melted butter.
Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and ranch seasoning mix.
Toss well until all potatoes are evenly coated.
Step 3: Bake the Potatoes
Spread the seasoned potatoes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30–35 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the potatoes begin to soften.
Step 4: Add the Smoked Sausage
Remove the dish from the oven and uncover.
Add the sliced smoked sausage and gently mix it with the potatoes.
Return to the oven and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until the sausage is heated through and lightly browned.
Step 5: Make It Cheesy
Pour the heavy cream evenly over the potatoes and sausage.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the top.
Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
Step 6: Serve
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy!
