Savory Garlic Chicken Lo Mein with Crisp Vegetables
Ingredients:
8 oz lo mein noodles
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup carrots, julienned
1 cup bell peppers, sliced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup chicken broth
Green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add sliced chicken and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining oil to the skillet, then sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers; stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and chicken broth.
Return chicken to the skillet, add noodles, and pour sauce over everything.
Toss well and cook for 2–3 minutes until noodles are glossy and evenly coated.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
