Ingredients

For the Beef Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper (green or mixed colors), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

For the Sauce

  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced flank steak with soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned but still tender. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry bell peppers and onion for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Return the beef to the pan and stir to combine.
  7. In a small bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  8. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
  9. Remove from heat and serve hot.
