Perfect for parties, game day, family dinners, or when you want a fun, no-rules recipe that everyone devours.

 Ingredients

Base Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fillings (Mix & Match – this is the fun part):

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup sautéed bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup black olives (optional)

For Topping:

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

 How to Make Garbage Bread

Step 1: Cook the Meat

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or sausage) with diced onion until fully browned, about 7–9 minutes.
Drain excess grease.

Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 2: Prepare the Dough

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.

Step 3: Load It Up

Spread the cooked meat evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Layer on mozzarella, cheddar, bacon, pepperoni, vegetables, and any extra fillings you love. This is why it’s called Garbage Bread — everything goes in!

Step 4: Roll & Seal

Carefully roll the dough lengthwise into a tight log, like a jelly roll.
Pinch the seams and tuck in the ends to seal.

Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5: Garlic Butter Finish

Mix melted butter with minced garlic.
Brush generously over the bread, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and dried parsley.

Step 6: Bake

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked.

Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing — this helps keep all that cheesy goodness inside.
