3-Ingredient Baked Breakfast (Easy & Fluffy Oven-Baked Breakfast)
Description
This 3-Ingredient Baked Breakfast is a simple, fluffy, and protein-rich dish made with pantry staples. It’s light like a soufflé, creamy in texture, and perfect for busy mornings, meal prep, or a healthy brunch option. With just eggs, milk, and flour, this baked breakfast comes together quickly and delivers impressive results with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs, separated (egg whites and yolks separated)
- 2 cups whole milk
(Whole milk gives the creamiest texture, but 2% or reduced-fat milk works as well) - ½ cup all-purpose flour
- Optional pinch of salt (for flavor)
- Optional butter or cooking spray (for greasing the dish)
How To Make 3-Ingredient Baked Breakfast
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray, or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Separate the Eggs
Carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Place the egg whites in a clean, dry mixing bowl and the egg yolks in a separate large bowl.
Tip: Make sure no yolk gets into the whites, or they won’t whip properly.
Step 3: Mix the Batter Base
To the bowl with the egg yolks, add the milk and flour.
Whisk until smooth and lump-free. The mixture should be creamy and slightly thick, similar to pancake batter.
Step 4: Whip the Egg Whites
Using a hand mixer or whisk, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
This step is key—it adds air to the batter and makes the breakfast light and fluffy.
Step 5: Fold Everything Together
Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture in batches.
Use a spatula and slow, circular motions to avoid deflating the egg whites.
Step 6: Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Place in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until puffed, lightly golden on top, and set in the center.
Step 7: Cool & Serve
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
The dish will deflate a little as it cools—this is normal.
Cut into squares and serve warm.
