 Ingredients

For the Chicken & Pasta:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, adds flavor and color)
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • Water + salt (for boiling pasta)

For the Creamy Garlic Alfredo Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup pasta water (as needed)

For Garnish (Optional but Recommended ):

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

 Instructions (Step-by-Step)

1 Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
  • Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente
  • Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside

Don’t overcook the pasta — it will finish cooking in the sauce later

2 Season & Cook the Chicken

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
  • Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Cook until golden brown and fully cooked
  • Remove chicken from the pan and set aside

3 Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium
  • Add butter and let it melt
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant
    Don’t burn the garlic!

4 Create the Alfredo Sauce

  • Pour in heavy cream and stir gently
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
  • Let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened
  • Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy

If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water

 Combine Everything

  • Add cooked chicken back into the sauce
  • Add linguine and toss gently until fully coated
  • Simmer together for 2–3 minutes so flavors blend perfectly

 Pro Tips for Best Results

Use fresh Parmesan, not pre-shredded
Keep heat medium-low to avoid breaking the sauce
Taste and adjust seasoning at the end
Add pasta water little by little for a silky texture

 Variations & Add-Ins

  • Add mushrooms , spinach , or broccoli
  • Swap chicken for shrimp
  • Add extra garlic for garlic lovers
  • Use fettuccine or penne instead of linguine
