- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup pasta water (as needed)

Instructions (Step-by-Step)
1 Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
- Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente
- Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside
Don’t overcook the pasta — it will finish cooking in the sauce later
2 Season & Cook the Chicken
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Cook until golden brown and fully cooked
- Remove chicken from the pan and set aside
3 Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium
- Add butter and let it melt
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant
Don’t burn the garlic!
4 Create the Alfredo Sauce
- Pour in heavy cream and stir gently
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
- Let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened
- Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy
If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water
Combine Everything
- Add cooked chicken back into the sauce
- Add linguine and toss gently until fully coated
- Simmer together for 2–3 minutes so flavors blend perfectly
