It combines crispy bacon, seasoned ground beef, fluffy rice, and lots of melted cheese for a family-friendly dinner that’s ready in under 30 minutes.

 Ingredients

  • 6–8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard (optional, but very recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, stirring occasionally. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain. Leave about 1–2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet for extra flavor.
  2. Brown the ground beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Add aromatics
Stir in the diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Build the flavor
Add the Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, mustard, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Stir well until everything is evenly combined and the beef is coated in a rich, savory sauce.
  5. Add the rice
Stir in the cooked rice and mix until the rice absorbs all the flavors and is evenly distributed throughout the skillet.
  6. Combine and melt
Add the cooked bacon back into the skillet. Sprinkle the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Garnish and serve
Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Tips & Variations

  • Add diced pickles or a splash of pickle juice for true cheeseburger vibes
  • Make it spicy with red pepper flakes or hot sauce
  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version
